About the company
Discovery Movement Theatre is a professional performing company based in Vermillion South Dakota.  Since 1981 they have toured their unique blend of mime and movement theatre across the U.S., and in Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica.  Highly trained movement specialists, they are Artists-In-Residence at the University of South Dakota, and are recipients of numerous South Dakota Arts Council grants and awards.

Mary Inman: 
Mary holds a B.F.A in theatre, studied under Marcel Marceau, and is the artistic director of DMT.  She is a seasoned performer, director, and playwright and is DMT’s principle dramaturge, designer, and costumer.

Ariel Begley: 
Ariel has performed with DMT since she was two (including a nine-day tour in Costa Rica.)  She is an award winning actress and has appeared in numerous plays.  In her film debut she portrayed ‘Rene’ in the Sundance Film Festival award winning N.Y.U. film Baby.  She is a student at Northern Illinois University Department of Theatre and Dance (N.A.S.T.)

Brian Begley:
Brian holds an M.F.A. in Directing from the University of South Dakota, a B.F.A in acting, studied under Marcel Marceau, and is a founding member of DMT.  He has extensive experience in music, mask, mime, stage combat, physical comedy, and acting, as well as sound, lights,
and set design.

Guest Artists:
On various projects Mary, Ariel, and Brian work with theatre professionals from across the country: Composers, designers, puppeteers, movement specialists and actors.
